Meet the Artist

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Sandstrom. I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a BFA in graphic design in Spring of 2023.

My background in art started when I was just a kid. Growing up, I was constantly doing something crafty or artsy whether that be coloring books, painting by numbers, or simply drawing. As the years went on, I was given numerous art kits, each had something different about them. Being the curious person I am, I would always try to figure out how to use each kit and the tools and supplies within them. Jump to freshman year in college, I had never touched an Adobe program, which sparked this curiosity. So I pursued graphic design and fell in love with it. In my four years at UMD, I have grown not only as a person but as an artist. I am always eager to learn new skills and new programs. 

As I look forward, I aim to learn and gain as much knowledge and experience as I can by taking chances and opportunities that are presented to me. As an artist, I am very detail-oriented, self-motivated, eager to learn something new, and efficient. I can juggle multiple tasks at a time while still completing the tasks on time.

Fun fact about me: I love to binge-watch TV series that have already been completed so I don't have to end a season on a cliffhanger.
